Rules of Construction II – 1.5 Contact Hours
The case-in-chief is Stransky v. Girl Scouts, New Jersey Superior Court 2007. While this is a case involving the “Rules of Construction” and deed interpretation, it is also a case involving a dispute over the location of the common boundary line between Stransky and his neighbor to the east, Williams, due to an ostensible overlap of the two properties. Did anybody ever confirm that an overlap actually existed? Or was this a case of the surveyors and the trial court judge chasing after a mythical Spanish Oak tree corner that had not been seen since 1958? This is a 2-Page Letter covering 1 Court Opinion consisting of 12 pages. This 14-Page document has a 10-Question examination based on the text of the newsletter and the attached case.
OBJECTIVES: To enhance professional competency and improve practitioner’s knowledge of the law as it relates to the practice of land surveying.
